Open Positions:
Audio/Video Technician (Part-Time)
The Audio/Video Technician will support the audio and video needs of church and academy events, including worship services, school assemblies, concerts, special events, and other performances. This role requires flexibility; technical proficiency with audio, video, and lighting equipment; and a heart for service in an educational environment. The technician will ensure that events run smoothly and professionally, contributing to an excellent experience for attendees.
5-15 hours per week
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Setup and Tear Down
- Plan and set up equipment for events.
- Assist with teardown and resetting of audio setups after events.
- Ensure proper storage of all equipment after use.
Operation
- Run the audio, video, and lighting equipment, adjusting as needed during live events.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during live events.
- Ensure proper technique regarding microphone placement, lighting design, video and camera work.
Maintenance
- Maintain and troubleshoot audio and video equipment, including soundboards, microphones, monitors, amplifiers, cables, lighting fixtures, cameras, projectors, and video systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other team members, worship leaders, teachers, and event coordinators to ensure production needs are met.
- Communicate effectively to understand the production needs for each event and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Proven experience as an audio technician in live sound environments (church, school, or performance setting preferred).
- Proficient in operating digital and analog soundboards.
- Understanding of microphone types, placement techniques, and signal routing.
- Experience with programming lighting systems, designing stage lighting, and hanging lights.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues quickly.

Work Environment
- This is an on-call position with hours that vary depending on the church and academy’s needs. Candidates must be able to work evenings, possibly weekends, and during special events or services as required.

Lower School Recess Monitor
We have a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students! Our Recess Monitors play a key role in our students’ daily routines, offering a sense of safety and stability. We are seeking Christian role models who have a heart for Jesus and children, and who are passionate about building relationships and encouraging students during the most unstructured part of their day. This role is primarily outdoors (except in cases of rain or extreme temperatures), so a love for fresh air and fun is essential! A vital part of our mission is ensuring every student feels known, loved, and valued, and our Recess Monitors are instrumental in helping us achieve that goal.
Job Purpose
Supervise and guide Early Education students (Preschool–Pre-K) during lunch and recess, while providing life skills instruction, social-emotional support, and general care.
Hours
10:20 AM – 1:20 PM
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Encourage children to explore, play, and be creative during recess.
- Support children with social challenges, offering guidance and compassionate encouragement.
- Supervise students in the gym, classrooms, or playground to ensure a safe and positive play environment.
- Communicate with classroom teachers as needed regarding student concerns or behaviors.
- Manage smooth transitions between the classroom, lunchroom, and playground.
- Ensure safety and staffing protocols are followed in line with licensing guidelines.
- Provide weekly updates or observations to the Lower School Principal.

Work Environment
- This role involves walking and standing for most of the shift, both indoors and outdoors, on various terrains.

Academy Adventures Lead Teacher – After School Care (Tue. & Thur.)
The Lead Teacher for Academy Adventures (After School Care) is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an enriching after-school program for Lower School students that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of children. This role involves leading and supervising a team of assistant teachers, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.

Program Planning and Implementation
- Develop and execute a diverse curriculum that includes academic support, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and other enriching activities.

Substitute Teachers – Early Ed, Lower School, Middle School, & Upper School
New Life is actively hiring Substitute Teachers in all grade levels!
We offer an inviting, Christian setting with supportive administrators and an engaged student body. Our substitute teachers are responsible for carrying out teacher substitute plans, building student relationships, maintaining classroom routines and rules, and engaging students in learning. It is expected that substitute teachers will model Christian character in their classroom leadership and will uphold high academic and behavior standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with parent, students, and staff in a positive Christ-centered manner
- Reinforce established school and classroom routines
- Provide instruction per curriculum plans provided
- Consistently engage students through interactive lessons

Bus Driver (Part-Time)
As a private school, we do not have regular bus routes. The public school district handles those for us. We do have two school busses, a small activites bus and two vans and we provide transportation for field trips and after school sports. We currently have a small pool of drivers that we send the open routes to and they can choose to sign up for routes based on their availability. It is a first-come, first-served sign up. Therefore, each driver usually gets anywhere from 3-15 hours per week as they sign up for routes. We do offer a 3 hour minimum for any routes you sign up for and we currently offer 20$/hr for Monday-Friday routes and 30$/hr for any weekend routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructs children in safety precautions and practices.
- Signals children when to cross street or highway and assures that children are safely across upon departure from bus.
- Maintains discipline; reports unruly behavior to principal of school or to supervisor.
- Inspects and sweeps bus.
- Checks water, gas, oil and mechanical condition before leaving on run.
- Reports delays and accidents.
- Keeps operational records and makes simple reports.
- Reports defects or problems with vehicle to shop supervisor.
- Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years bus driver experience.
- 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Good driving record with No DUI conviction in past 15 years.
- High school diploma.
- License/Ordination: Class B with school bus endorsement.
- Knowledge of MS Office products.

Academy Adventures Student Worker (Part-Time)
Positively influence our K-5 students after their school day. Activities are loosely planned, allowing students time to rest, socialize, enjoy a snack, and engage in activities and play. The Academy Adventures Aide, under the direction of the Academy Adventures Lead, facilitates Elementary students (K-5 Grade) in activities 3:00-5:30 pm during Academy Adventures.
